Day 239: Ambury Farm Shearing Shed Seats

We went to visit Ambury Farm today. The children had a fantastic time meeting all of the animals and their babies. The children got to pet and feed lots of different farm animals.

When we went into the shearing shed to see a sheep be sheared, the seats had these fabulous animal footprints on them in bright colours. I liked it so much, I decided to make it my photo today.

A great day, but am tired now though.

Day 233: Plant Outside My Classroom

I'm getting back in the swing of things after not posting for what seems like such a long time. I just got out of the habit and it was a bit difficult getting back into things. Hopefully I can keep up with this - at least till the end of the year.
Anyway, today's photo is of a plant outside my classroom. I've never noticed it before - must wander around with my eyes closed. I really liked the shape of it.

Day 226: Battered and Broken

My poor lovely ranunculus. It's been battered and broken by the recent bad weather. Mind you, even so badly affected, it's still got a lovely colour to it.

Day 210: Fairy Gate?

I saw this tree root climbing a wall and it just made me think of some kind of fairy door/ fairy gate. It really just fired my imagination.

Day 203: Battered By The Storm

I was hoping to get a couple more photos of my ranunculus for you, but it's been horribly battered by the storm, so this may well be the last one of this flower. It's still very pretty, but you don't quite get the whole picture.

Day 197: Just Starting to Open

1 day later and my ranunculus has opened just a little bit more.

Day 196: Waiting for the Flower to Open

I have a lovely, yellow ranunculus just starting to bloom outside my front door. I can hardly wait for it to fully open because it is just so pretty. I have a feeling you may well be seeing rather a lot of this flower as I capture it unfurling to reveal a stunning, many petaled bright flower. It makes me smile every time I see it.

Day 185: Spring is Here!

One of the fruit trees in my garden has just started blossoming. A true sign that Spring is here. yeah!

So Bad!

Gah! I have been so bad this week. I have started with good intentions, and then something happened in the evening and the next thing I know it's bedtime and I suddenly realise that I haven't done my photo. Grrrr!!!
I promise to do better next week.

Day 179: Looks Like A Sock Puppet.

Okay, so i know that it's not a sock puppet. But I like finding faces in things as you've seen previously. And I saw these lights and just needed something to make a nose and a mouth, but I couldn't get the plants to work for me, so I ended up just taking it as is and then rotating it. Which made me think of a sock puppet. Yeah!!!!!!

Day 175: A Bright and Cheery Flower

It's so nice to see a nice and cheery flower, it certainly makes the rain easier to put with. I love the bright orange of this flower. Not sure what it is though.

Day 172: But We Want To Play Outside!

It feels like it's been raining here for the past month. I know that it hasn't, but I just wish we could have a couple of nice days in a row. I visited my friend's house after school, and it seems like her children were feeling exactly the same way I do. Hopefully it'll brighten up soon. Fingers crossed!

Day 164: Face at School

One of my boys suddenly pointed out this face while we were doing PE outside today. I've walked past this building so many times and never seen the face. It's a good one too!

Day 163: Bad Batteries

Can you believe it! I got home and all of the batteries in my house were out of charge - even the ones in my mouse didn't have enough juice to use my camera! Grrrrr!!!

Another Missing Day

I didn't post a photo yesterday because it was the Choir Festival yesterday. I was so proud of the children. They sang very well, paid attention to the conductor and behaved beautifully during the item performances. Good job kids, you were great!

Day 154: Star Anise

One of my girls brought this star anise in to class today to share with everyone. We had such a good time smelling the star anise and talking about it. What a great sharing activity. And I just love the smell.

Day 153: Photo of a Photo

This is a photo of a photo taken by my brother-in-law the last time I was home. It's one of my favourite photos of me and my sister. They had it put into a block as a surprise for me. I have it on my bookshelves. It always cheers me up. So I thought I'd share it with you.

Day 151: Foggy Days

There's something so nice about foggy days. It's makes me feel like I'm the only person in the world. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay inside nice and warm inside my house, inside my bed. But then I wouldn't have been able to see the fog that much. Myeh! This is a view of our school field. Nice, eh?

Day 141: A Flash of Red

I was wandering past the school office this afternoon when my eye was caught by a flash of red. I have never noticed that this plant has red flowers bits hidden away inside the tangle of leaves. It really cheered me up.
