Day 92: Desk Mess

It always bemuses me how quickly my desk can get piled up with potentially useful junk. I have a little paua shell for the little stuff so it doesn't go all over, but even so, it still piles up fairly quickly.

Day 90: Tea for Two

I went out to this lovely little cafe in Mt Eden this morning, and they served us tea in these lovely silver teapots. It was so shiny, that I just couldn't resist trying to capture the reflections of the cups. The focus isn't great, but the tea certainly was.

Day 89: Autumn Leaves ... kinda

We had some great big autumn leaves brought into class this week, so we have been doing lots of art  related activities with them. This is my example of using wax crayons to do a rubbing of the leaves in autumnal colours. So I thought I'd share it with you.

Day 88: Wish I Was Here!

With all of the bad weather we've been having, I wish I was somewhere a bit warmer. With less rain.

Day 87: Sunrise on Clouds

After all of the rain that we have been having recently, it was so nice to see the sun trying to get through the clouds. It also turned them a lovely colour. Let's hope it's a nice day today.

Day 86: New Colour

I suddenly noticed this small group of colour outside my classroom. I could have sworn it wasn't there yesterday. Or maybe I just had my eyes closed all day - it's possible!

Day 85: Purple, Green and White

With the rain that we've been having recently, a lot of the flowers and greenery are showing off their colours. I love it.

Day 83: Sunlight on Leaves

As the sun was going down this evening I noticed the lovely way that the sun caught the leaves of the orange tree in my garden. This particular branch, pointing towards the sky caught my attention.

Day 82: Origami Ball

I find origami quite interesting. It can be really soothing or really frustrating when things don't work out as you want them to. My favourite thing to do at the moment is to make a little ball and I have some lovely paper with which to make them. This one with pink flowers is nice. I have it in green too.

Day 80: Rain on Leaves

This photo was a complete mistake. I would love to say that i meant for it to turn out like this, but I'm not yet at the stage of thinking this much about the shot I'm taking. Or at least, I am occasionally, but not that often. And the likelihood of me actually getting the shot that I want in that case is fairly small. However, I really like the water droplets in this shot, as well as the texture on the leaves.

Day 79: Interesting Light

There was a really interesting light when I got home today. Not quite dusk, but slightly hazy with some clouds in the sky. It was really nice, but not great to drive in!

Day 78: MMmmmmmm

Inspired by all of the good food I had at the weekend at my sister's place, I decided to make myself a lovely bolognese this evening. I'm normally really tired on a Monday and just make a sandwich or something. But this week, I got myself organised and came up with this yummy dish. Mmmmmm!

Day 77: Reflections

We visited Ocean Bay today. It started off a little overcast, but brightened up very nicely before we left. I was really pleased with the reflection of the clouds in the water in this photo. So I thought I'd post it. I wasn't really trying to get a good reflection. Just lucky I guess.

Day 76: View from the Veranda

This is the view from my sister and brother in law's new place. They've moved up to McCleod's Bay near Whangarei and they get to see this everyday. Lucky things. I was treated to a fantastic sunset on Saturday and took so many photos. The colours were fantastic.

Day 75: Cupcake Cheat

I am cheating again today because I am heading up north to visit my sister this evening and I'm not all that sure that she has her broadband sorted yet. This may mean that I have to do two on Sunday to make up for not posting a photo on Saturday. Hopefully I'll get some great photos while I'm visiting - apparently the view from her house is fab.

Day 74: Hot Pot

You can't beat a pot of hot tea. Especially when you've got a nasty cold and feel awful. Mmmmm!

Day 73: I Heart Colours!

I have put a lot of photos of my felt tip pens online, but it's so nice to have a play with colour and shape when they link together. One of my girls really likes the colourful heart, so I thought that I would put it on for her today.

Luna did not enjoy getting her photo taken when she was trying to sleep. But I thought that she looked so cute with her tail covering her nose, that I just couldn't help myself!

Day 69: Maia Dragon

I've already shown you my Luna dragon, this one is another one of my dragons and is very much like my other cat, Maia. She often sits like this and just looks at me in her own way as if wondering just what I'm doing there.

Day 68: Mantis

My little friend is back again. I love the way he wobbles on his spindly legs when he walks. Heh!

Day 67: A

I really like the find faces in the world around me, and I also like to find letters and numbers. Today I found A in some chairs. A relatively easy letter to find.

Day 66: Red Case

I like baking. And I like eating cakes. What better way to curb myself than to use these fabulously colourful silicon mini muffin moulds. They're great!

Day 65: Teapot

I love my little teapot. I've also been put on to some fantastic tea that I can get just up the road. It makes some of the best tea I've ever had - and I've had a lot of tea!

Day 64: Gnarly Bark

Trees can be fascinating, especially the bark, which shows such fantastic textures and shapes. This one's just outside my house.

Day 63: Maia Watching Luna

Just after I had taken this shot, Maia jumped off the sofa and had a little fun with her sister. I love the way that she's so absorbed in what she's watching.

Day 62: Red

There are some fabulous colours in the leaves at this time of year. Autumn's my favourite season. So I can't help but take lots of shots just for the colours. I boosted the colours in this photo just to see what would happen. I kinda like it.
