Day 101: Climbing Mantis

Most of the other mantis' have gone from the lavender bush - probably scared away. But I caught this one just climbing up the plastic outside the back door of the hall.

Day 94: A Mantis Meal

Proof that you should never go anywhere without some form of camera. I was on playground duty and a group of squealing children caught my attention. They had found a preying mantis in the lavender. Upon further investigation, we found about 5 of them. This one had caught a bee for it's lunch. The children were really excited. And so was I!

Day 68: Mantis

My little friend is back again. I love the way he wobbles on his spindly legs when he walks. Heh!

Day 47: What is it, Luney?

My cat, Luna, was absolutely fascinated by the mantis that was on the window. It didn't like her though, and moved quite soon after this photo was taken.
